Art by Erika L. Chan

Located in the California Bay Area, Erika can be found sketching caricatures of your loved ones (animals and human alike) at local events or capturing them through her watercolor portraits. She comes from a family of women artists. Her grandmother sketched portraits for people while she was interned during WWII, and her mother enjoys painting animals in acrylic. Erika studied Illustration and Entertainment Art at CSUF while beginning her love for portraits at Disneyland.

Erika is also deeply inspired by wildlife and frequents nature with her wife and their Rocketdog Rescue Morkie, Peanut Buttercup. When she is not drawing dogs, she is working with dogs at Guide Dogs for the Blind. Each and every piece is created with love.

Woman with curly hair wearing a black leather jacket holds a drawing of a fluffy dog. A real fluffy dog with white curly fur sits on a wooden table beside her, making a funny face with one eye squinted and tongue slightly sticking out. The setting appears to be outdoors with trees and a fence in the background.
